We stopped by the Hepps table at a downtown Wayzata fair years ago. We decided to try the white and black truffle salt. That stuff is magic. You've never tasted popcorn so good until you've lightly sprinkled some Hepps truffle salt on there. It's good on everything. The truffle salt was my gateway salt into Hepps.
I am a big fan of spice. Not to be a tough guy, but because it just adds so much character to a meal, snack, or appetizer. I first tried the Habanero and Ghost Pepper Hepps salts. Those are great. I'll mix those together, and put them on anything from Pasta to Chicken, or Steak. Scorpion definitely kicks the heat up a bit from the Ghost or Habanero in my opinion. It's got great taste and heat to it. Mix it in with some Guac, and you'll never go back to plain salt in guac again. We've moved twice since we first stumbled upon Hepps. Over 1300 miles away. Luckily they ship to our new addresses. If they didn't I would probably have to consider moving back to MN!!
Great salt, with a good lingering slow burn. Great for seasoned crackers, or just to top off any meal that needs a bit of a kick. Don't use too much though
My whole family really likes the kick that this salt gives food. We're trying it on almost everything one would normally salt, and it really adds something extra.
My favorite salt ever! I’ve ordered this for years! I carry a pouch in my purse for when I eat out, I add it to my soy sauce for sushi, and pretty much everything else! Add it to ketchup for French fries, truly this is a heat lovers dream!
This fine Scorpion salt will take bland out of your culinary vocabulary.
